Prairie Dog Fun Fact: Prairie Dog towns used to be incredibly large. In 1901, scientists in Texas measured a single town that covered 25,000 square miles and contained an estimated 400,000,000 Prairie Dogs! I guess everything is bigger in Texas.

I was a little concerned with the thickness of them. You don't have to be. 223, 22-250, 22 ARC, 6.5 CM. 308. All shoot varmint bullets. None of them shot through at 150 yards.

The prairie dog gongs were shipped quickly. We have only had them installed for 5 days on our gun range, but so far they are holding up great. Great customer service and a quality product. Highly recommended.

I put the dog out at 200yd with a single hook hanger. This target is awesome to shoot and very well made. Buy these targets you will live them. I painted my targets with marking paint.

I have not been hanging them on the hangers, I tried them on the ground with a brick behind them. I shoot from a shooting table on the ground, or from the back on my pickup truck bed. The targets make a satisfying clang sound when hit that carries for a long way. I am shooting at 200 to 400 yards and can still hear the targets when hit. they are holding up well to me 6GT, and my .20 Practical. I appreciate a well made product and will be buying more in the future.

These PDogs are solid. I have these set at 150 yards and shoot ygem with my airgun. They give out solid feed back. Great targets.

I’ve shot these about 100 times with a .223 at 150 yds out to 250 yds.
I use a nosler bullet at about 2800fps.
Barely a scratch on the targets.
Would buy again.

Shot target with 22-250 at 100yds bullet went through target
.22-250 is WAY too fast at 100 yards for any steel target. Here's a video explanation that shows pitting from a .22-250 at different distances.
Velocity at impact needs to be below 3,200 fps. My .22-250 is still going 3,500+ fps at 100 yards.

I purchased this set of steel targets for a special 22LR rimfire match that is coming up in May at our Club. The Prairie Dog look great and very life size. Each shooter has 25 shots at the dogs. Distance is 100 yards. Must hit dogs in order (adult standing, adult prone, juvenile sitting) from a sitting or prone position. No bench or rifle rests permitted. Hoping for a breezy day to increase the challenge.

I have all 3 and man are they fun to shoot. I like the eye holes and small detail around the targets for realism. Paired with a hanger from Brad and you will never have to pick up a target off the ground again

Super target for really long range match shooting. Big enough to be very realistic and still give a very impactable target out beyond 400 yards. Excellent workmanship, quick delivery and most of all great fun to shoot for all levels of skill.

I use this prairie dog for a monthly long range center fire match and it is SOOOO much better for the stages to have animal targets than round plates! People can identify which target they are supposed to be shooting at and greatly reduces any confusion. I am using the 1/2" thick AR500 version and it is doing well!
