Cottontail Rabbit Gong - Full-Size

Just the right size for a Varmit Match.

I just finished setting up a rimfire range at my parents property. I have the rabbit setup at 150yds and it reacts well to 22lr hits. I really like the quality and detail of these targets. The shape is great at it hangs well from a shepards hook. Very fast shipping too. Will be buying more in the future... Edit: here is a video of me and my 74yo mom shooting it from 150yds, and me shooting it from 207yds with suppressed subsonic 22lrs (turn the sound on).

Our Club just finishd building a new steel target display for 22 rimfire rifles. The Rabbbit and Squirrel made of 1/4 inch AR500 are a great addition to our round gongs. The "critters" add some fun to the display. These targets will last for years with 22 rimfire usage. I plan to add some Prairie Dogs in the future.

I like to fine detail in the shape of the target itself. Pairs really well with the ar target hooks the movement you get is really good.

I have purchased many steel targets from Brad at atlas. All of them have been outstanding anywhere from 2 inch gongs to full size coyote steel targets love them all great product will purchase from again.

A ton of fun with open sights from 100 yards. Really fast shipping and personalized service!

Hangs well from smaller hooks with the square hole turned with a corner up. Settles quickly and doesn't continue to oscillate after a hit.

Finally got out to the range. Really enjoyed shooting the Rabbit and Squirrel Targets. Haven't shot the Striped Gopher and sitting Prairie Dog yet. We used .50 cal. muzzle loaders with 35 grains of 3F at 25 yards. Absolutely no damage to the targets other than "removing" the finish from the targets, leaving about a 2 to 3 inch bullet splash on the target.

I've only shot it with a 9mm so far from about 25ft. Nice ring, nice motion and some lead splatter, but not a single cut or dent to be seen. Haven't had time to break out the Alaskan yet, but I'll get there. So far, great product. Am planning to order a chuck and a coyote in the coming weeks.

I love shooting life size animal targets. The paper animal targets get expensive over time. Atlas has the best looking and largest selection of steel animal targets anywhere. Plus you can get most in either AR400 1/4” or AR500 3/8”. This target will pay for itself many times over compared to the cost of full scale paper targets. Plus you have the ring when hit. This was a perfect size Target for a longer distance varmints in our rifle match

I purchased this rabbit and squirrel. I received them quickly and started shooting them just as quick.. Lol.
We spent days with lots of rounds between four people shooting at these things and have held up well. I can definitely say this is a high quality product and would like to purchase again in the future. And I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for different shape targets..

Well I put this Rabbit at 280 yes at our March NRL22 match. Useing a single hanger with stand add on. Could easily see it move with impacts with the naked eye, also hear them. Great little target for any use

This little rabbit took a serious beating in the desert this weekend. We shot over 1000 rounds at this, the squirrel and the sitting prairie dog. They all held up great. More purchases scheduled for our desert gallery in the near future!

AR500 Cottontail Rabbit

I haven’t shot the rabbit yet but the cut of the steel is crisp and clean, it came painted and the mounting hole being square makes it easy to mount to a rubber strap or whatever your choice of mounting option. Great people to deal with as well! Will buy from again.

This target has a great ring with a 17HMR at 100 yards it's nice with a small caliber to get audible hit indication.

The AR500 Cottontail Rabbit was used this past weekend at a BPCR gong shoot. The target was flawless, being shot as close as 50 yds with full power 45-70 black powder cartridges. The hits sure made the target dance but the rabbit was as good as new at the end of the shoot.

I would give a five star rating but I disagree with putting the bolt hole in the ear. Seems like it will be a weak spot but other than that it is awesome. I haven’t shot any rounds at it yet. The shipping was a day ahead of schedule and very quick. I will order my targets from here from now on. I would like to see bigger targets for a 1000 plus yards.
