Seriously... don't even bother using chains. Chains will blow apart with a single rifle hit and you'll constantly be replacing them. You may be thinking to yourself... "I'm a much better shot than that, no way I'll hit the chain!" That may be true but steel targets are a blast to shoot and every one of your friends are going to want to shoot at them and they ARE terrible shots!
Been using chain, one rubber strap in center causes more action to spot your own hits.

Great product
After using chains for a long time I decided to go with rubber straps and I must say that this is the answer. I ordered them to do some testing for a commercial range. These straps can be shot multiple times and not have a failure. We will definitely buy more.

So far it’s great. It has taken a lot of 5.56 ammo threw it for testing and it’s holds up. The only thing that might compromise it is the bolts holding it together a good hit or two can destroy the bolts but it’s still better than using a chain
