Rimfire Spinner

This thing is a ball to shoot at and you will burn up a bunch of ammo. But it took some polishing on the bar stock to
get the bearings on, but some time in the lath and emery cloth took care of it. keep up the good designs.

Very nice spinner!

Was easy to assemble, had no problems getting the bearings on the shaft. Balance was almost perfect and easy to adjust. The target spins smooth. I didn't use grease on the bearings, just a thin coat of oil. One thing I noticed is the bearings are somewhat exposed and not sealed so they may collect dirt over time. So far I havent noticed that its an issue but they are easy to disassemble and clean if necessary. I have several other targets from Atlas and the quality is exceptional.

Really nice unit! But those bearings!

Tired a buddy's Spinner and liked it so much I bought my own. Excellent for timing training and adding to my NRL22 Target set. Very nicely made. Quality work.

My only gripe is with the bearings. You need to slide them over the rod they provide. The fit is EXTREMELY tight. They do not just slide on. There is almost no need for the locking collars. I tried it dry and then added a bit of grease. Nothing worked. They would not slide on with any force my hands/arms could produce.

So I wouldn't damage the bearings I wound up using a couple 4x4 posts, drilling a hole just big enough for the rod and drove the rod through the bearings. This again was no easy task. It required force on the rod with a hand held sledge hammer.

I asked my friend if he had a similar issue. He did indeed. BUT he used a dremel and grinding wheel and gentle ground and polished the inside race of the bearing till it fit.

So be aware, getting the bearings on the rod if you don't have some tool to do it, is a bit of a pain. That's the only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 star rating.

But once on, super durable and a great spinner!!!!

Sorry about the hassle Art. The problem was the 1' axle was ever so slightly out of round. Once I caught the problem I got some new material in and they fit great now. If you ever have issues with it in the future just get hold of me and I'll make it right.

Bought for husband

He really enjoys the targets. Need to be better packaged for shipping. He got his birthday present early just to verify the order was complete after the boxes arrived opened.
